Tumuli
Near the cathedral, a landscaping called Tumuli is the proof that ther was a presence of inhabitant on our territory since 700 years BC.
Found in the Soeix quarter, these calcareous rings make reference to a cemetery known and respected during centuries. This permitted its protection.
It’s the oldest human occupation of Oloron Sainte-Marie, known today.
